250 partners (suppliers of tourism services) greatly appreciate
this high-performance marketing tool. As its numbers testify,
this business boasts a high increase in all aspects, including
the sale of winter packages.
Hotel Clarion & Conference
Centre - Silver
Accommodations - 50 to 149 rooms
The four-star, three-diamond Hotel Clarion & Conference
Center renovated its facilities and added to its accommodations
a conference centre and health, beauty and fitness services.
The hotel can therefore better meet the needs of the "Conventions
and Business" market. The new Clarion & Conference
Centre, operating since February 2004, has seen its revenues
double and its occupancy rate significantly increase, which
has led to the hiring of three new employees.
Gîte Fanny et Maxime - Silver
Accommodations - Bed and Breakfast
In 2004, Gîte Fanny et Maxime won the excellence award
at the Gîtes et Auberges du Passant gala. The provincial
award was bestowed upon this small regional B&B in recognition
of its high-quality customer service. In 28 years, it was the
first time the provincial award was given to a B&B in the
Outaouais region. Using an original technique, the owners of
Gîte Fanny et Maxime chose to advertise door-to-door in
2004 to develop their client base.
Keskinada Loppet - Bronze
Festival and Tourism Event -
Operating budget of less than $500,000
In 2004, Keskinada Loppet welcomed close to 3,000 competitors
from 26 countries, making the Keskinada the largest cross-country
skiing event in Canada. In 2004, event organizers created tourism
packages in order to better meet the needs of skiers, who also
wished to explore the Outaouais region. In addition, the development
of a new timing system, a new athletic event and the hiring
of a spokesperson allowed Keskinada Loppet to increase its positioning
and notoriety. |
