  ON A LOVELY WINTER’S DAY

Explore the National Capital region during Winterlude, the largest winter festival in North America!

8:30am: Camp Fortune. Open year-round. In winter, this is one the best places in the region to go skiing or snowboarding. It is also possible to enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on its many trails.

Noon: Lunch

2pm: Laflèche Adventure (30 minutes from downtown). Open year-round, this is the largest natural cave in the Canadian Shield. In winter, this site is magical thanks to gigantic ice stalactites and stalagmites.

4pm: Go ice-skating in a group on the longest ice rink in the world (the Rideau Canal) and admire sparkling ice and snow sculptures.

5:30pm: Back to the hotel.

7:00pm: Dinner at Ferme Rouge. Located 20 minutes away from downtown and 15 minutes from the Casino du Lac-Leamy, this 535-seat restaurant showcases some 20 artists performing music, song and dance numbers every night.
