Fortune’s Aerial Experience

The latest in adventure activities. Your group will be thrilled as they make their way along a course of suspended walkways, rope bridges and net gangways, finishing with the ultimate thrill of the zip line! Group rates are available for groups of

H.C.W. Steam Train

Hands on steam—Gather a group of 5 to 10 people, slip on a pair of coveralls and become a crewmember for the day. Along with the fireman, the engineer and the conductor, you will participate in the daily train preparation routine. You will also take part in switching maneuvers, car coupling and brake test. After everything is ready, sit back, relax and enjoy the trip with our tour guides. In Wakefield, you will impress every one by turning the 93 tons steam locomotive on Canada‘s last operating manual turntable. Finally, fill the tender at the old time water tower and prepare the train for the return trip. Live a learning adventure like no other! Morning departures: The train now offers morning departures at
10 a.m. Thus, passengers visit Wakefield along with it’s restaurants and stores, from 11:30 to 1:30. This change permits guests to charter the entire train or a single car in the evening for all kinds of private or business events.

Canadian War Museum

L’Écho d’un peuple

A huge outdoor show featuring 400 years of French history in North America and Ontario. Over 200 actors, dancers and jugglers, 1,000 characters, beautiful costumes, huge decor and an exceptional soundtrack! Flyovers above Ottawa and the Outaouais region

A new trail at Parc Oméga

Parc Oméga is one of the most important attractions in the Outaouais region with 155,000 visitors in 2004. It covers a vast 1,500-acre territory where people can observe North American wildlife in their natural habitat including animals such as wolves, bears, buffalos, wapitis, etc. A New way to visit Parc Omega this year is by electric and environment-friendly golf carts along the recently inaugurated Trout Lake Trail. Accessible also to hikers, this 3-km trail leads to Trout Lake where children can have fun feeding the fish. Also to discover along the Trail, a few of many animal sculptures still to come.
