A diverse landscape, thousand year old mountains, sinewy waterways and covered bridges; this is the face of the Collines-de-l’Outaouais. A veritable outdoor paradise, this area is a year round uninterrupted resource for nature lovers.
Photo : Le Nordik - Nature Spa The splendour of Gatineau Park charmed, amongst others, the tenth Canadian prime minister William Lyon Mackenzie King who decided to have his summer residence built here in the 1920’s. Today it’s possible to visit the Mackenzie-King Estate and explore its gardens, which abound in history and romance. The Collines-de-l’Outaouais is a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes who enjoy both winter and summer sports alike. During the fall it’s the perfect destination to admire the colour changes or to visit some of the many artists’ studios. You can also discover the mysteries of the subterranean world at the Aventure Laflèche, by exploring the biggest natural caves in the Canadian Shield, a one of a kind wonder!
